Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and fellow volunteers to ensure seamless patient care and clinic operations.
  • Assist non-English language preference patients in understanding healthcare-related information, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed during their visit.
  • Assist with front office tasks, including patient check-in, appointment scheduling, and updating records, ensuring completion and understanding of necessary paperwork by patients.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality, adhering to all HIPAA regulations, to protect the privacy and dignity of all patients at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills by engaging in courteous and tactful interactions, showcasing the capacity to build rapport and create a comfortable workplace environment.
  • Proficiency in comprehending spoken and written content in multiple languages, with a primary focus on English and Spanish.
  • Strong memory retention and note-taking skills are essential to ensure accurate translations.
