Content Writer / Storyteller

Overview

The Content Writer / Storyteller plays a vital role in supporting the mission of the Kiona Foundation. This volunteer position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking work in pediatric cancer research, family support, and community engagement. Volunteers in this role will work closely with a passionate and committed team to advance the Foundation’s strategic priorities.

Expected commitment is 5-8 hrs/week, with flexibility based on availability and project needs. This is a remote volunteer position unless otherwise specified.

• Develop blog posts, editorial stories, and social captions focused on pediatric cancer research, survivor stories, and botanical innovations.

• Interview families, researchers, and partners to capture compelling human-centered narratives.

• Maintain a consistent voice aligned with Kiona Foundation's mission, balancing scientific accuracy with emotional resonance.

• Assist in writing fundraising copy, email campaigns, website pages, and media kits.

Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, mission-aligned, and capable of working independently in a collaborative, virtual environment.
