Therapy Dog Volunteer Needed for Hospice Visits - Bring Comfort & Compassion

Does your dog have a tail that wags with purpose and a heart as big as their bark? If you and your certified therapy pup love spreading smiles, cuddles, and calm vibes, we’d love for you to join our hospice volunteer team!

We’re on the lookout for Therapy Dog Duos (that’s you and your furry best friend!) to bring warmth, joy, and gentle companionship to hospice patients in their homes, senior living communities, or care facilities. For many of our patients, a visit from a friendly dog is the highlight of their week - a soft nuzzle, a happy tail, or a cozy cuddle can bring comfort and connection when it’s needed most.

Whether your pup is a pro at sitting sweetly or handing out kisses, your visits can make a beautiful difference in someone’s final chapter.

Your role:

• Visit patients with your certified therapy dog for companionship and emotional support
• Provide a calming, loving presence to patients and families
• Work closely with our hospice team to ensure meaningful, respectful interactions
• Log visits and communicate feedback to hospice staff
