About this Opportunity
- Plan and lead recreational activities:
- Organize and facilitate games, sports, arts, and social events that promote community engagement and well-being.
- Engage and motivate participants:
- Encourage active participation, teamwork, and positive interactions among individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
- Ensure safety and supervision:
- Monitor activity areas to maintain a safe environment and address any hazards or behavioral issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team members:
- Work with other staff and volunteers to coordinate program delivery and share resources effectively.
- Set up and maintain equipment:
- Prepare and manage recreational materials and spaces before, during, and after activities.
- Provide guidance and support:
- Offer assistance and instruction to participants, adapting activities as needed to accommodate varying abilities.
- Record attendance and report outcomes:
- Maintain accurate records of participant involvement and provide feedback on program success and areas for improvement.
- Promote inclusive programming:
- Ensure activities are accessible and welcoming to diverse populations within the community.
Who We're Looking For:
- Minimum age: 12
- Passionate about volunteering and open to learning new skills and softwares
- Complete training prior to start date
- Can commit to the shift schedule
Bonus Skills:
- Fluency/high proficiency in a language other than English
- Previous volunteer experience
