Gift the gift of friendship to those nearing end of life in the greater Kenosha area!

We are looking for a compassionate volunteer to read to hospice patients, specifically during the morning in Waukesha, WI. We care for individuals in nursing homes and assisted living facilities who don't have as much social interaction as they'd like, which is why we need your help!

Our volunteers are full members of our hospice team and often form close ties with the patient and their family. In our Volunteer Orientation class you will understand some of the challenges that face patients and families and ways you can bring quality of life and compassionate care to them.

As a hospice volunteer you will learn about the hospice philosophy, communicating with patients and families, family dynamics, spiritual care and the grief process.
