About this Opportunity

Are you a passionate knitter looking to make a meaningful difference in someone's life? Join us in providing warmth, comfort, and dignity to hospice patients by donating your time and talents to knit handmade blankets.

We’re seeking volunteer knitters to create lap blankets or throws for individuals receiving end-of-life care. These blankets not only provide physical warmth but also offer emotional comfort—reminding patients that they are cared for and not alone.

What We're Looking For:

  • Knitters of all skill levels – beginner to advanced
  • Individuals or knitting groups welcome
  • Ability to commit to making at least one blanket
  • Willingness to provide your own yarn and supplies (machine-washable yarn preferred)

Why It Matters:

Hospice care is about quality of life, comfort, and compassion. Your handmade blanket can offer peace and solace to someone in their final chapter, and it often becomes a cherished item for the family.

How to Get Involved:

Respond to this posting and we’ll follow up with shipping/drop-off details, simple guidelines, and optional patient stories to inspire your work. Whether you knit one blanket or many, your generosity will bring light to someone's life.
