The Donovan’s Venom is a 501c3 nonprofit organization focused on curating universal accessibility to fine arts and music education for all. We are passionately dedicated to ensuring that everyone, regardless of financial circumstances, has access to high-quality music education, performance opportunities, and fine art. We aim to inspire, empower, and uplift communities by fostering a love for music and the arts through our commitment to education, inclusivity, diversity, and social impact, which drives us to expand our reach continually and enrich the lives of those we serve.
We’re looking for a Head of Technology to join our growing team!
What you’ll do:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives
- Lead and mentor the Product Engineering and Infrastructure teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning
- Provide strategic guidance on technology investments and initiatives
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, systems, and software applications
- Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our technology systems
- Establish data governance policies and procedures to ensure the integrity, privacy, and security of organizational data
- Implement data analytics tools and processes to drive informed decision-making
- Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies to protect the organization's digital assets and mitigate cyber threats
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices
What we’re looking for:
- 4+ years of experience managing engineering and technology teams, preferably in the nonprofit sector
- Possession of excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Possession of strong strategic planning and project management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead change initiatives effectively
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred

- Deployment: Netlify
- Tools & Libraries: SCSS, Jotai, and limited use of MUI (only one component)
