Position Overview:

The Clinical Pharmacokinetics Teaching Assistant supports faculty in teaching drug absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion principles, as well as their applications in clinical settings.

Location: Remote

Start Time: Jan 6, 2025

Time Commitment: 2 to 6 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

    • Simulation Support: Assist in conducting virtual simulations involving drug interaction studies and patient case scenarios.
    • Teaching Support: Facilitate discussions, group activities, and assist with course materials on drug dynamics, therapeutic drug monitoring, and dosing strategies.
    • Grading: Grade assignments, quizzes, and exams, and maintain student records.
    • Student Assistance: Provide clarification and support for students’ understanding of pharmacokinetic concepts and clinical applications.
    • Resource Development: Help develop educational materials, including case studies and drug interaction charts.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmacology, or a related field; graduate students preferred.
    • Strong understanding of pharmacokinetics and clinical applications.
    • Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus.
    • Ability to communicate complex pharmacological concepts effectively.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
