Veteran to Veteran Friendly Visit Volunteer for Hospice Patients

Hope Hospice Veteran Companionship Volunteer-

Are you a veteran with some time on their hands? Hope Hospice is looking for kind hearts to provide friendship and a supportive presence to our veteran hospice patients on their end of life journey. Our patients are often lonely and desire companionship. Veterans visiting our veteran patient gives a sense of connection and validation - and a shared experience.

Your role can include, but isn’t limited to, talking with patients and helping them share their life stories, reading to them, playing cards or sharing music with them. Hospice care goes beyond a patient’s physical needs but strives to provide comfort, dignity for both patients and their families.
