About this Opportunity
We are seeking a volunteer grant writer to assist us in raising funds to complete the construction of the Ecolibrium Space, a multifunctional permaculture and natural building education center.
About Eco Caminhos & The Ecolibrium Association:
In 2015, motivated by the global climate crisis, Eco Caminhos farm was established in the verdant Mata Atlântica mountain region of Nova Friburgo, Brazil. The farm is dedicated to permaculture principles, incorporating natural building techniques and agroforestry to create a self-sustaining environment for people that harmonizes with the surrounding ecosystem. Over the years, the farm has drawn a wide range of local and international students, at-risk youth, volunteers, institutions, and farmers, all seeking to engage with and learn from its sustainable practices.
The educational aspect of our work has grown to such an extent that it has led to the creation of a distinct entity, the Ecolibrium Association, and the building of the Ecolibrium Space to further our educational mission. The Ecolibrium Space will serve as a crucial expansion of our farm, designed to share our comprehensive sustainability expertise with a broad audience including students and local farmers.

About the Grant Writer Role
We are looking for a grant writer to help us raise funds for the building of the Ecolibrium Space which will allow us to expand programming to include local farmers and students.
We have raised funds for and started on phase one of the project. So far we have created a waste management system to mitigate waste produced within the Ecolibrium Space, and laid the foundation and begun on walls for phase one of the building.
We still have a significant amount which we aim to raise to fund this project. If you are passionate about sustainability, permaculture, natural building and/or agroforestry and are seeking to add to your experience in grant writing, consider volunteering with us!
