About this Opportunity
Meet Raisin!
Raisin is a 4 year old Bassett mix and is a well of joy that loves to go on walks.
Raisin's guardian is a senior woman living with an illness that affects her mobility.
We are looking for volunteers who can commit to a once weekly dog walking shift for this sweet pup!
If you enjoy spending time with both people and pets, PAWS NY offers wonderful opportunities for our volunteers to provide direct services to our clients who are living with a physical illness or disability, mainly through our Housecall Program. Volunteers provide help with dog walking, litter box maintenance, transportation to/from the vet, and other pet-related tasks our clients struggle to do on their own.
In order to begin providing services, all volunteers are required to attend an orientation. We are flexible in terms of the level of commitment, and welcome all interested individuals to attend an orientation session to learn more about our work. You will learn more about PAWS NY and the services you will ultimately provide to our clients. *Please note that proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required to participate.
We're currently offering virtual volunteer orientations. We hope you'll join us!
Check out website at www.pawsny.org/volunteer to sign up for a volunteer training!
