Free Bleeders is a nonprofit focused on women living with bleeding disorders and those who care for them. An estimated 1.5 million women in the U.S. may have an undiagnosed bleeding disorder-your leadership helps close that gap. Free Bleeders

What You’ll DoProvide strategic leadership to advance programs and impact.
Uphold governance & fiduciary duties: budget review, risk, compliance, and ethical standards.
Advance fundraising & partnerships: open doors to donors, sponsors, healthcare partners, and community orgs.
Champion the mission in your networks and at key events.
Serve on a committee aligned to your expertise (Finance, Marketing, Legal, Corporate Strategy).
Finance
Oversee budgeting/forecasts, cash flow, and financial policies.
Review Form 990 and monthly/quarterly financials; support audit readiness.
Advise on sustainable revenue (grants, sponsorships, individual giving).
Marketing
Sharpen brand voice and messaging; guide campaigns and editorial calendar.
Grow digital reach (site, email, social) and PR opportunities.
Support storytelling that centers women with bleeding disorders.
Legal
Advise on bylaws, governance, and conflict‑of‑interest policy.
Review key contracts, privacy, IP, and compliance for 501(c)(3) best practices.
Guide state charitable registrations and risk management.
Corporate Strategy
Drive strategic planning, OKRs/KPIs, and impact reporting.
Build corporate partnerships and sponsorship packages.
Support board development and succession planning.
Professional experience in finance, marketing, legal, or corporate strategy.
Prior board or senior leadership experience (nice‑to‑have, not required).
Collaborative communicator with a passion for menstrual and bleeding‑disorder equity.
Able to commit 5-10 hrs/month for meetings, committee work, and events.
Meaningful social impact leveraging your professional skills.
Board‑level leadership experience and a mission‑aligned network.

Two‑year renewable term (per bylaws).
