Tutor Youth Experiencing Homelessness in Downtown Los Angeles

Are you looking to make a difference in a child's life? A child without a home needs your help! Help kids get back on track. We believe that education is key to breaking the cycle of homelessness. Based in Southern California, School on Wheels provides academic tutoring to children living in shelters, motels, vehicles, group foster homes, and on the streets in six counties. We provide students stability in a time of stress and transition and help them achieve educational success so that they may break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.

Volunteers are asked to commit a minimum of 1 hour a week for a year. Tutoring usually happens on weekdays between 3 pm-7pm. We provide in-depth training and ongoing support to all our tutors.
