Volunteer with Circles and helps folks living in poverty reach their career goals!

Are you experienced in the professional world? Do you have a passion for helping others succeed? Consider joining Circles and support our mission to reduce poverty in Essex County

Circles is a program that focuses on building a compassionate and dedicated community to help bring families to better financial stability. With Circles, our main objective is to empower low-income individuals. We walk alongside them as they make steps towards a more stable future. We help them build caring support systems that offer friendship, guidance, and encouragement. We also help them access life-changing opportunities such as affordable education, valuable community resources, better-paying jobs, etc.

Our hope is that through this community support, individuals and families can manageably and permanently lift themselves out of poverty. Operative word being permanent - this is meant to be a lasting solution, not just a quick fix! After 18-months in our program participants see an average of 71% increase in their income.

We are looking for passionate volunteers to join our Circles' Jobs and Education team.

Your role will involve:

• Building relationships with local workforce development offices and local employers and tell them about Circles
• Supporting participants with resume writing and interview preparation.
• Providing support and encouragement as participants work toward their professional and educational goals.
• *All volunteers get training as well!
