About this Opportunity
Atlanta Angels believe that while not everyone can foster or adopt, everyone can make a difference. Our Love Box Program matches foster families with volunteers who provide consistent, monthly support through encouragement, practical help, and relationship.
The Love Box program provides wrap-around support to caregivers, children in foster care, and biological/adopted children in the home. Volunteers are matched with a local foster family based on location, compatibility, and needs, showing up monthly with encouragement and practical support. This consistency helps parents feel supported and gives children a sense of normalcy, connection, and confidence.
The Love Box Program requires a one-year commitment, with volunteers meeting with their matched family at least once a month.
This caregiver has been happily married for 16 yrs and has 3 biological children- ages 14, 12, and 10. The family as a whole fell in love with fostering and moved to be able to open their home to more kids! Currently they have welcomed two sisters (aged 6 & 10) into their home. The kids in the house enjoy a range of activities from theatre, basketball, crafts, playing dress up, and listening to Disney & Taylor Swift music. Because they are a big family, activities, meals, and babysitting can get very costly. Someone who can bring in fresh new engaging activities/community events and support in babysitting would be amazing– especially for date nights!
The first step in the volunteer process is to attend a virtual Discovery Session. You can learn more or sign up here. If you have any questions, please email [email protected] or visit our website.
