Northwest Neighbors Network has lots of opportunities for volunteering, many of which you can do from home!
Board member or Social Activities Committee member: Step into a leadership role with a great team, currently holding regular meetings, hosting events, managing the NNN events calendar and planning our big summer eventVolunteer onboarding support: Perform reference checks & volunteer phone interviewsMember outreach support: Assign volunteers to check in with seniors in our community, or make some calls yourselfServices Coordinator: Triage requests for assistance from our members using a shared Google Voice app and emails, and help to connect volunteers with neighbors who need helpFundraising support: Help with all sorts of tasks to make our efforts sustainable, including researching small business funding opportunities, grant research, grant writing, and writing thank-you notesNewsletter Editor/content coordinator: Help create our monthly newsletter, including soliciting new content and writers, coordinating with other contributors, and doing final editing and publishing through our website platformCommunity resources for members: Help research organizations and companies that might benefit of seniors in our community, so that we have the most up-to-date resources for referralsBack-up Driving Team: Join our small but mighty team of backup/quick-response drivers. Usually we know a week in advance if a ride is needed, but sometimes a volunteer has to cancel or an emergency request pops up.
