Organization: Star of Texas – Uplift Hospice

Hospice care is about living with dignity, connection, and love. As a Social Connection Volunteer, you’ll help patients and families feel valued and cared for — through simple conversations, shared hobbies, or gentle companionship at home or in a facility.

Responsibilities:

• Offer friendly visits and emotional support to patients and families.
• Engage through conversation, reading, games, or shared interests.
• Support facility or community-based social gatherings as available.

Commitment: 4 hours monthly — flexible and can be divided into smaller visits.

Training: Comprehensive orientation provided. No experience necessary — just compassion and reliability.
