Director of Recreation

Are you passionate about creativity, social media, and community engagement? Join U+ Toastmasters as a Volunteer and make a positive impact on the community while promoting our inspiring public speaking and leadership programs!

What You’ll Do:

* Develop and oversee recreation programs:

* Plan, design, and implement a diverse range of recreational activities and services that meet community needs and interests.

* Manage staff and resources:

* Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate recreation staff, volunteers, and contractors to ensure effective program delivery.

* Budget and financial oversight:

* Prepare, monitor, and manage budgets for recreation programs, facilities, and events to ensure fiscal responsibility.

* Facility management:

* Oversee the operation, maintenance, and scheduling of recreational facilities to provide safe and accessible environments.

* Community engagement and partnership building:

* Collaborate with community groups, local government, and other stakeholders to enhance recreation opportunities and support.

* Policy development and compliance:

* Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and safety standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.

* Program evaluation and improvement:

* Monitor program performance through data collection, participant feedback, and trend analysis to guide continuous improvement.

* Promote recreation services:

* Lead marketing, outreach, and advocacy efforts to increase participation and raise awareness of recreational offerings.

This is a volunteer position, ideal for students, creatives, or anyone looking to get involved in meaningful work while sharpening their marketing skills.

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome volunteers who are enthusiastic, dependable, and excited to support our mission! Ideal candidates will have:

✔ Age between 12 - 30

✔ A positive attitude and willingness to learn

✔ Commitment to completing basic training

✔ Fluency in English

✔ Successful Vulnerable Sector Check (required if you’re over 18)

Bonus Skills

✔ Previous experience

✔ Fluency or high proficiency in another language besides English
