Shop and Make Parent Care Bags

Any one of any age, any time, any where can volunteer to shop and make Parent Care Bags for families.

Parent Care Bags conveniently provide adult family members with useful, comforting and essential items while they are spending long days in the hospital at their child's bedside or at treatments.

We welcome you to make and donate as many bags as you choose. Thank you for volunteering!

STEP 1:

Shop and fill each orange paper gift bag with these items (gender neutral):

2 pens

1 lip balm

1 notebook

1 stress ball

1 wash cloth

1 brain teaser

1 pack of mints (1+ oz)

4 hand sanitizers (1 oz)

1 pack of gum (15 sticks)

2 packs of pocket tissues

2 lotion/hand cream (1 oz)

1 individually wrapped sleep mask

4 pairs of individually wrapped ear plugs

1 bottle of water (16 oz) or a water bottle

1 activity book - maze, puzzles, or dot-to-dot

2 pairs of neutral color socks, non-slip appreciated

STEP 2:

Neatly place the items into an orange paper gift bag. Please ask for supplies of orange paper gift bags.

STEP 3: (Optional)

Include a handwritten, decorated, There With Care printed note card in each bag. Please ask for supplies of printed note cards.

On the note card, write the name of your family, corporation/business, school or faith/community group.

Write one phrase: Take a moment to care for you, for who you are and all that you do. OR Here's a little gift, a token of our care.

Decorate with colorful designs.

Write your first name, age (minors only) and city.

PICK UP SUPPLIES/DROP OFF COMPLETED BAGS:

There With Care's office is located at the Sobrato Center for Nonprofits, There With Care, 330 Twin Dolphin Drive, Suite 135, Redwood City , CA 94065. Walk in anytime between 9:00am and 4:00pm, Monday through Friday; an appointment is not required.
