Position Overview:

The Rehabilitation Medicine Teaching Assistant supports faculty in teaching introductory courses on physical therapy, rehabilitation techniques, and patient recovery processes.

Location: Remote

Start Time: Jan 6, 2025

Time Commitment: 2 to 6 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

    • Simulation Support: Assist in conducting virtual simulations focused on physical therapy techniques and rehabilitation strategies for patients.
    • Teaching Support: Facilitate online discussions, and group activities, and assist with course materials related to rehabilitation exercises, mobility techniques, and therapy planning.
    • Grading: Grade assignments, quizzes, and exams, and maintain student records.
    • Student Assistance: Provide clarification and support for students’ understanding of rehabilitation principles and physiotherapy techniques.
    • Resource Development: Help develop educational materials related to rehabilitation, including case studies and therapy protocols.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Medicine, Physiotherapy, or a related field; graduate students preferred.
    • Strong understanding of rehabilitation principles and techniques.
    • Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus.
    • Ability to communicate complex medical concepts in an accessible manner.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
