CrowdDoing-External Virtual Public Events Manager

CrowdDoing supports a social innovation venture lab and a portfolio of social enterprises. Both the lab and the social enterprises aim to achieve systemic change through collaboration with virtual volunteers.

Role Summary:

Responsible for managing events and ensuring deadlines and budgets are adhered to.We want to see enthusiastic candidates with fresh ideas and the organizational skills required to not leave anything about an event to chance.

Essential Tasks:

• Manage staff responsible for event coordination activities.
• Hire, train, and educate staff on proper event procedures.
• Calculate budgets and adjust when necessary.
• Come up with suggestions to enhance the event’s success.
• Approve all aspects before the day of the event.
• Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur.

Qualifications Required:

• Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation ability.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• A knack for problem-solving.
• Customer-service orientation.
