About the position:

The volunteer will help provide coverage at the reception desk to greet visitors. The volunteer will provide information to visitors and help provide answers to basic questions regarding Endeavors services.

Essential functions:

• Serve as a receptionist/greeter for visitors to the Health and Wellness Center
• Ensure visitors sign in
• Answer phones
• Assemble packets and information to new visitors
• May complete tasks such as copying, faxing, printing
• Help staff as requested with other clerical duties

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be able to communicate with a diverse population
• Must have a professional appearance
• Basic computer skills required
• Must be able to follow instructions from staff
• Understand the need for confidentiality and ability to maintain such
• Knowledge of the building layout
• Must be able to interact with guests in a friendly, courteous and polite manner

Physical requirements:

• Position requires prolonged periods of standing on feet, sitting and walking
• Ability to go up and down stairs
• Frequent talking and hearing

Length of committment:

• 2-3 hours a week
