Role:

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Proofreader to help review manuscripts and materials before publication. If you love language, enjoy fine-tuning text, and want to make a meaningful impact in the literary world, this role is a great fit!

What You’ll Do:

• Proofread manuscripts, articles, and promotional materials for grammar, punctuation, and consistency.
• Ensure accuracy and adherence to InkWell’s editorial style and tone.
• Collaborate with editors and authors to preserve voice and clarity.
• Conduct final quality checks prior to design and publication.

Our Ideal Volunteer:

• Strong command of English grammar and language.
• Experience with editing or proofreading (professional or volunteer).
• Comfortable using Google Docs or Microsoft Word with tracked changes.
• Passionate about books, literacy, and diverse storytelling.
