About this Opportunity
Are you a high school student or college freshman looking for a meaningful community service project this upcoming school year?
Witness Theater, now in its 14th year, is a powerful multigenerational theater experience that engages students and Holocaust survivors to tell impactful survivor stories.
Here's how it works: Students and survivors meet weekly over the course of the academic year with a trained drama therapist, culminating in shared public performances in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Students in Witness Theater will:
Earn up to 120 community service hours for participation
Create long lasting relationships with Holocaust survivors
Listen to Holocaust survivors' wartime stories firsthand
Portray the life experiences of Holocaust survivors in a theatrical performance
