Care & Orphanage Volunteer Program

As a volunteer, you will be accomplishing various duties in orphanages and care centres. Volunteers will establish bonds of friendship with the orphans and children as well as help with the organisation of fun activities. You will learn about the obstacles that these children have faced and help them to grow in a healthy way as you act as a mentor. You will be able to share your own life stories one-on-one and serve as a role model.

Volunteer Duties:

Volunteers are needed to create a welcoming and friendly environment for all the children by: • Teaching lessons (English, maths, science, etc) • Show them hygiene by teaching them how to brush their teeth • Help the children eat healthy, balanced meals • Help children with their homework • Provide enriching activities to improve the lives of these children • Involve the children engaging activities like games, sports, music and dancing • Help the orphanage or care centre with daily chores • Help make the children’s beds • Help change clothes, especially for younger children • Walk the children to school each day
