Firefighter

As a new member you can choose what you want to and are capable of doing. You might choose to train to fight structure fires in full bunker gear or drive a 4WD brush truck across burning ranch land. But not all members actively fight fires – you might choose to train to receive EMS certification and provide pre-hospital medical care to members of the community in need of emergency medical services. Or you might choose to provide administrative assistance in the office, or help to keep our tenders and pumpers full of water, or bring needed supplies to firefighters in the field.

All training, protective clothing, and safety equipment is provided by the Department.
