About this Opportunity
The Syosset Fire Department (SFD) was organized in 1915 by local residents to help protect their community from the potential ravages of fire. A century later, we are still proud volunteers who provide a professional level of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to our neighbors in the Syosset Fire District. We respond to over 2,000 alarms annually, including structural and vehicle fires, carbon monoxide and automatic fire alarms, auto accidents, hazardous materials incidents and medical emergencies.
