About this Opportunity
With over 150 years of Service to the Town of New Milford and its surrounding communities Water Witch Hose Company Number 2 prides itself on commitment. Running close to 700 fire calls (NON-EMS) in 2016 WWHC #2 is looking for candidates to continue this tradition of excellence. Eligible applicants must be 21 years or older; have a valid Connecticut driver’s license: CDK Certifications are a plus; must be able to successfully complete a department mandated physical. Applicants who are accepted must be willing to devote time to training, fire calls, fundraising, community relations events, monthly meetings, and called drills.
Successful candidates shall serve a probationary period of twelve (12) months beyond successful graduation from the Connecticut State Fire Fighter I course is strongly encouraged. Continuing education and training classes are offered regularly through the department.
