Looking for excitement as a volunteer firefighter? Troy Fire Protection District has had a long tradition of volunteer Firefighters protecting the lives and property of their neighbors. Troy Fire responds to over 300 emergency and routine calls for help each year. The experiences you will have as a member of the TFPD will bring you closer to the community and the personal reward of helping others through the fire service is unmatched.

Our Firefighters respond to structure fires, car fires, vehicle accidents, hazardous material incidents, specialized rescues, and routine calls for smoke and carbon monoxide alarms in homes and commercial businesses. Our Firefighters also assist our Full-time Paramedics on difficult EMS calls. All Firefighters receive training in all areas of emergency service. We have training on Thursday 3 or 4 times each month as well as monthly association meetings. Troy has a burn building where you will get hands-on training with actual live fire! Once you are trained as a certified firefighter we opportunities to work part-time for an hourly wage during the weekdays.
