About this Opportunity
All volunteer applicants MUST be 18 years AND possess a High School Diploma or GED EMS volunteer applicants must possess NC EMT (or above) certification at time of application A comprehensive background check will be run on all applicants Volunteers are REQUIRED to run a minimum of 36 shift hours per month
Volunteer interviews and agility test are held the first Saturday of each month. (Date may change due to holidays, training, etc.) Applications should be turned in no later than one week prior to interviews. Active volunteers are compensated for their services. Some of these benefits include:
Monetary stipend based on certifications and years of service Up to $15 meal reimbursement for each 12 hour shift $10 gas card for each 12 hour shift Supplemental life insurance at no cost to the volunteer
Scholarships are available for qualified college students and qualified children of volunteer All training provided at no cost to the volunteer (some classes require up-front registration fees which are reimbursed upon successful completion of the class)
