Fight Fires and have Fun. Join the Acme Hills Fire Dept.

Acme Hills Fire Department (AHFD) is a 100% volunteer department located in the village of Acme Hills, OH. We have around 30 active members who come from all walks of life. Our membership includes high school, college, and medical students, parents, attorneys, scientists, construction workers, dog walkers, military personnel, and engineers, just to name a few.

There are wonderful, interesting people at Acme Hills Fire Department, and the atmosphere is not only professional, but also fun and welcoming—we take great pride in thinking of ourselves as a family and as having a “firehouse” rather than a “fire station.” We have monthly barbecues from May-September and even hold an annual cornhole contest in October!

We are looking for additional Volunteer Firefighters to round out our crew of EMTs, administrative volunteers, and our fundraising committee. You will be gearing up and serving the community of Acme Hills when the firehouse bell sounds. This could mean fighting a barn fire, responding to car accidents, assisting elderly residents, and much more. It isn’t always adventurous, but it is always rewarding!
