Recruit Firefighter, EMT, Lateral Transfer

Rockton Fire Protection District is hiring Paid on Call and Part Time Firefighters and EMT's to serve our protection district in northern Illinois. With a steadily increasing annual emergency call volume our fire department has an ever growing need for personnel. No experience is necessary. New personnel who do not have Illinois Basic Operations Firefighter Certification will be required to participate in a fire academy to obtain certification. Company training is on Wednesday nights; all members are expected to participate. Our Fire Department provides our members all required uniforms and gear, and covers the cost for all approved training courses. Out of district applicants are welcome; some applicants living in Roscoe and South Beloit who are out of district may live close enough to respond from home.
