About this Opportunity

Rooted in Wyoming promotes food security through community-based gardening and education initiatives. The organization establishes and supports gardens that produce fresh, nutritious food which is donated to local food banks, schools, and food assistance programs. By fostering partnerships, offering garden-based education, and empowering individuals to grow and share their own produce, Rooted in Wyoming strengthens local food systems and builds community resilience. These efforts help improve access to healthy food, reducing reliance on external resources, and creating opportunities for skill development and community collaboration. Rooted in Wyoming serves individuals relying on food banks; schoolchildren from low-income households who will benefit from fresh produce in school meals and ¿food bags¿, and garden-based education; and community members facing economic barriers to accessing healthy food. By increasing food production through community gardens and partnering with food assistance programs, Rooted enhances nutrition, food access, and community resilience for underserved groups.
