Project Home (PH) is a public health nonprofit that serves the population of adults and children in Maine who have experienced homelessness and/or are low-income renters (65,000+), the majority of whom are low-wage workers or attending K-12 schools. PH¿s work begins with securing a home through housing navigation and eviction prevention, culturally-tailored in-home health navigation, direct cash assistance for single mothers, employment preparation and navigation, and ultimately home ownership navigation. The novel hub for low-income renters has provided over 1,000 stable rental homes for more than 3,000 adults and children, with over 100 landlord partners, and 3 first-time homeowners.
