SerVermont - United Way of Rutland County VISTA

Located in the beautiful town of Rutland, Vermont, the United Way of Rutland County (UWRC) brings together residents and community resources to create lasting positive change based on local needs, with a focus on alleviating poverty. UWRC serves youth, families, and community-based organizations. Rutland offers a wide range of outdoor activities, including skiing, climbing, and cycling, along with a growing and vibrant downtown area. In 2024, UWRC funded 18 programs across 16 community-based organizations, addressing crucial issues such as housing, food insecurity, health, education, and financial stability. Additionally, UWRC collaborates with local schools to support two programs aimed at reducing poverty: Welcome to Winter and Happy Feet.
