City Fresh-AmeriCorps VISTA

City Fresh is a weekly farm box program. Since 2005, City Fresh has delivered weekly shares of produce to families in Cleveland and throughout northeast Ohio direct from local farmers. Our nonprofit program is a direct response to the lack of available fresh and local produce in urban and peri-urban neighborhoods. We work with local farmers within 70 miles to deliver produce weekly to more than 600 shareholders in Cuyahoga and Lorain counties during our 24-week season. We are the only program of our kind working in the food deserts of our region, offering accessible pricing and support to low-income families, accepting SNAP, and working directly with farmers.
