About this Opportunity

For 17 years, Feast of Justice has supported households experiencing poverty and food insecurity in Northeast Philadelphia through food and resource assistance. We are located in one of the most diverse zip codes in the Commonwealth and are the section of Philadelphia with the highest growing poverty rate. The community needs our support¿and to that end, we serve 3000 unique households as one of the largest food providers in the city¿distributing nearly one million pounds of food each year. But, beyond food, we work to connect our guests to resources that can help to break poverty¿s grip, and to transform the community by engaging it in the work of healing. Feast of Justice is dedicated to our vision of a world in which food security, life skills, and a supportive community abounds for all.

This project is a part of the PHENND Fellows VISTA program housed at the Philadelphia Higher Education Network for Neighborhood Development (PHENND). PHENND is a network of over 25 colleges and universities that strengthens service-learning, civic engagement, and community partnership in Philadelphia.
