About this Opportunity
This is an AmeriCorps/Washington Service Corps national service position. It is contingent on funding an open until filled. The Northwest School for Wooden Boatbuilding is non-profit trade school in Port Townsend, WA. We teach boatbuilding and marine systems while developing the individual as a craftsperson. We aim to serve our community by providing quality education and preserving craftsmanship. Our 8-acre campus serves as an environmental buffer and requires habitat restoration. This project aligns with our plans to install solar panels and build electric and solar-powered boats. The member will help us repair the ecosystem, protect local species, and remove invasive plants. They will plan and lead restoration projects and environmental education. We will conduct rolling review of applications and interviews until position is filled. Monthly stipend amount: $1,942.
