We believe that access to key resources, institutional frameworks, and nourishing environments are elements for achieving financial success within marginalized communities. We work in four main areas:

Business Development: AEDS confronts economic disparities by providing entrepreneurship promotion, small business development and small business technical assistance. Please fill out the intake form below if you're looking for assistance with starting or expanding your business.

Lending: Our goal is to enable passionate entrepreneurs by providing access to the capital that helps launch their businesses. We eliminate barriers that get in the way of economic opportunities by pioneering non-traditional financial instruments and following an innovative business development strategy.

Financial Counseling and Coaching: for individuals and families who want to build their credit or are first-time home buyers. It offers a chance to gain valuable financial advice for your unique situation. Our Financial Coaching program seeks to educate and guide individuals in financial matters through one-on-one in-person meetings with a trained Financial Coach. During these coaching sessions you will get valuable advice to stabilize and strengthen your situation.

Community Building: We conduct ongoing community engagement to ensure African immigrants have a voice in community. By leveraging diverse businesses, as well as arts and cultural assets along transit corridors, we serve as a cultural broker in advocating for smart policies that promote the growth of African immigrant businesses.
