About this Opportunity

Join American YouthWorks¿ YouthBuild Program in Austin, TX! YouthBuild empowers young adults (16-24) who are not in school or employed by combining education, sustainable construction, and hands-on job training. Participants work toward their GED or high school diploma while gaining real-world skills in Media Corps, Casa Verde Builders, and Health Pathways. With a focus on academics, vocational training, and community service through AmeriCorps, the program also provides guided connections to employment, post-secondary education, and long-term support.

As a Community Outreach & Volunteer Coordinator AmeriCorps member, you¿ll play a crucial role in recruiting volunteers, building partnerships, and increasing community engagement. Additionally, you will assist with the program¿s social media presence, creating content to promote volunteer opportunities, share success stories, and connect with potential participants. This role provides valuable experience in program development, volunteer management, and nonprofit networking.

This is a full-time (M-F, 8-5) AmeriCorps position requiring 1,700 service hours, offering a living stipend, health benefits, and an education award.
