25-26 VISTA Community Engagement Specialist - Columbus

Catholic Social Services¿ Our Lady of Guadalupe Center (OLGC) works to reduce poverty in the rapidly growing Hispanic population in Central Ohio. We do this by providing access to professional social services, case management, emergency assistance, workforce development, and social connectedness. The OLGC is the only center of its kind in Franklin County offering the full services of a food pantry and case management to the Hispanic population. The OLGC provides an array of services including:
Baby supplies, safety classes, and empowerment programming for moms with young children
Case management
Community and wellness events
English as a Second Language (ESL) classes
Entrepreneurship classes
Food and emergency financial assistance
Legal immigration counseling
Personal development groups
Workforce development This VISTA position is a part of Catholic Charities USA¿s Family Strengthening Program, a national intermediary project. As a member, you will meet virtually with VISTA Leaders and other VISTAs serving throughout the country, all focused on alleviating poverty.
