NLADA¿s AmeriCorps VISTA program, Defending Communities in Service, builds sustainable community relationships, data systems, and practices that allow public defender offices to more holistically support communities in need. This position partners with the Santa Barbara Public Defender Office to both maintain and increase funding for public defense.

The Santa Barbara Public Defender Office leads the nation in data driven holistic defense practice, assisting clients from pre-trial to re-entry.
