CAC AmeriCorps VISTA (Knoxville Knox County CAC)

CAC AmeriCorps (a program of Knoxville Knox County Community Action Committee) is committed to changing people¿s lives through environmental service and poverty alleviation, embodying the spirit of hope, improving communities, and making East Tennessee a better place to live. CAC AmeriCorps leverages the skills, passions, and ideals of our members in addressing pressing social needs. This is accomplished through empowering each member to use their hands, heart, and mind to build capacity in our partner organizations and uplift the community. Members are trained to be effective capacity builders for organizations that address a variety of local issues such as food insecurity, education, and economic opportunity. CAC AmeriCorps members have the opportunity to truly immerse themselves in the local community, collaborate with one another to find creative solutions, and find camaraderie in service.
