It has always been the goal of A Serene Healthcare Services to make a difference in the lives of the clients we serve. Mission Statement
A Serene Health Services provides a comprehensive range of services to address patients and their families' multiple needs and stages. Our mission is to provide the highest quality of care to patients and their families dealing with a life-limiting illness. We pride ourselves in the fact that our staff and volunteers are committed to the hospice philosophy of patient choice and dignity while cherishing the best quality of life. It takes a motivated interpersonal team of qualified professionals to provide this unique type of care, comfort, and supportive services that A Serene provides. This unique care requires the coordinated efforts of individuals with different areas of expertise such as our medical professionals/caregivers that specialize in pain management. Our team aids not only in assistance with activities of daily living but also dietary personnel. The team is also compromised of specially trained and experienced social workers, chaplains/clergy members, and of course the active involvement of the family members themselves.
Our services include daily living assistance, personal grooming, pain management, and recreation. We believe in promoting comfort through nursing care, psycho-social alternative therapies, and 24/7 on-call services. Our bereavement services offer holistic therapies such as aromatherapy, pet therapy, and music therapy. We can also assist in your home or the care facility that your loved one is admitted to.
There are several levels of care that we can provide, including but not limited to Routine Home Care which is care provided to a patient in the patient's environment; including home, skilled, or assisted living. Continuous care is provided in the patient's atmosphere on a short-term basis when medical symptoms are not controlled at the routine home care level. The objective of continuous care is to maintain the patient in their environment. Nursing care is primarily provided from 8 to 24 hours a day to alleviate or manage the acute medical crisis. Respite Care Temporary or routine care provided in a nursing home, assisted living facility, or other types of long-term care program so that a family member or friend who is the patient's caregiver can rest or take some time off. General Inpatient Care Short-term inpatient care is available for pain control and symptom management that cannot be controlled in the home environment.
Once the symptoms are resolved and the care plan is unchanged within 24 hours, the patient is discharged back to the home or facility. As part of our commitment to servicing the community at large, A Serene Healthcare Services offers several community-based services. Such services include community education; which is a variety of educational programs that are geared to help the community at large to understand and appreciate the medical, social, economic, and spiritual issues that hospice patients and their families must deal with.
To arrange a program for your organization, don't hesitate to get in touch with us. A Serene employees and caregivers are given specialized hospice training and updates relating to hospice standards of care and treatment. They are acquainted with the most current approach in social and hospice care methods to serve patients and their families optimally. Due to the nature of grief, bereavement services are essential in the healing process. A Serene Healthcare's professionally trained grief counselors are available for comforting family and community members. They specialize in providing condolence and consolation to family members and close friends of the departed.
