About

Camp Erin Santa Cruz is seeking compassionate volunteers to support children and teens ages 7–17 who are grieving the death of someone significant. Volunteers are the heart of camp whether serving as Cabin Big Buddies (mentors who stay with campers all weekend), helping behind the scenes with logistics and meals, welcoming families at registration, leading creative activities, or sharing special talents like music or storytelling. We also need licensed clinicians to serve as Grief & Growth Facilitators and Behavioral Specialists. Training is provided for all roles, and your presence can make a lifelong impact. Join us June 5–7, 2026, in the Santa Cruz Mountains to help create a safe, healing, and fun weekend for grieving kids. More information can be found on our website.

Mission Statement

Camp Erin provides a free, safe, and supportive weekend camp for children and teens grieving the death of someone significant in their lives. Through a balance of traditional camp fun and meaningful grief support activities, we help youth feel less alone, honor their loved ones, and discover healthy ways to express their emotions while building connection, resilience, and hope for the future.
