About

Capitol Lakes has been serving seniors since 1975. It was built by Methodist Retirement Services, which later became Meriter Retirement Services, a division of Meriter Health Services. Pacific Retirement Services acquired Capitol Lakes from Meriter Health Services in January 2008, and since that time has been overseeing the renovation and remodeling of Apartments and community spaces. Capitol Lakes is a vibrant Continuing Care Retirement Community committed to the enrichment of residents lives. Capitol Lakes is fully accredited by the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission (CCAC), an independent accrediting body. Founded in 1985, the CCAC is the nations only accrediting body for Continuing Care Retirement Communities and other retirement communities that meet or exceed its standards of excellence in three critical areas: governance and administration; financial resources and disclosure; and resident life, health, and wellness.

Mission Statement

As a non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), Capitol Lakes offers on-site health care for seniors, along with a vibrant lifestyle. In addition to offering a wealth of fine amenities, apartment homes, Capitol Lakes offers the peace of mind that only comes from Continuing Care! Capitol Lakes is the official retirement community of the Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA).
