About this Opportunity
At Capitol Lakes, we are looking for many types of volunteers to serve in our many areas. Capitol Lakes is a continuing care community. We have many facilities to meet the needs of all our residents. Volunteering duties are needed in a variety of areas, including all levels of care in our community- our Health Center (skilled nursing facility), Terraces (assisted living facility), and with our independent living residents in our apartment style homes.
Volunteer shift times may be occasional or on a regular basis. We have a variety of different shifts on all days of the week. Let us know your interests, background, and talent so we can best match you to an area in our facility. Here are a few examples where we could use volunteers: Art workshops/classes, computer assistance, crafts, grand hall program host, movie host, musical performance (i.e. sing, play an instrument), read aloud, sewing/mending, word/trivia games, parties/gatherings/socials, fundraising events for our Capitol Lakes foundation.
RESTRICTIONS: Volunteers must be 18 years of age or accompanied by a parent or guardian. Volunteers must complete our volunteer application, which includes a State of Wisconsin Background Check (BID: Background Information Disclosure).
