About
Join us and help make today better and tomorrow brighter for Linn County neighbors in need.
ECCF began operations in July of 1996. ECCF is an organization composed of volunteer board representatives from churches, neighborhood associations, community organizations, and other at-large concerned individuals.
ECCF shares ministries of humanitarian care and service:
- for low-income individuals and families through Helping Hands Ministry (HHM)
- for people with disabilities and others through CompuPlace
- for other non-profit agencies through Agency Housing by providing low-cost rental office and storage space.
Mission Statement
Since ECCFs inception, HHM has provided services to qualified low-income residents of Linn County through referrals, counseling, and basic needs financial assistance by direct payments mainly to landlords and utilities. Needs for local bus tickets, ID replacement and gas vouchers are also great. Every request for assistance is an opportunity to review resources and options for longer term solutions.
ECCF's CompuPlace ministry provides computer-related activities which enhance reading, math, communication, and problem-solving as well as general computer skills as technology has evolved. CompuPlaces primary focus has been on people with intellectual disabilities and those who may benefit from Assistive Technologies. We seek a volunteer team to enable us to open to the larger community for drop in availability.
ECCF also provides low-cost office and storage space to about a dozen other non-profit agencies, allaying building costs and promoting collaboration. This also provides an opportunity for "one stop shopping" for meeting people's most basic needs.
