Mission Statement
The Lussier Community Education Center has been operating for over 40 years and exists as a result of residents organizing in their neighborhood. Wexford Ridge Association for Tenants and Housing operated an all-volunteer neighborhood center from the early 1980's until the center became a part of the United Neighborhood Centers (UNC) in 1994. We became independent in 1999.
The Lussier Community Education Center has a history of strong programming, including: Elementary, Middle School and High School Youth programs--free, drop-in programs for area youth, a free legal clinic, job clinic, a bi-weekly food pantry and a Friday "Food from Friends" program complete with fresh produce and breads.
