Since 1990, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga (RMHC of Greater Chattanooga) has been helping families stay together and close to the care they need through the Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Room. We provide a place like home and make children happier and healthier by making sure their families are footsteps from their hospital room giving them a place to rest and refresh.

Many families with critically ill children struggle to find affordable, comfortable lodging near the hospital where their child is receiving treatment. This added stress can make an already difficult situation even harder to bear.

Imagine being a parent of a critically ill child, with mounting medical bills, and worrying about where you and your family will sleep at night, what youll eat for dinner, and wondering if your child will recover from their illness. Youre exhausted from days and nights spent at the hospital, but you cant afford a hotel room close to the hospital. Youre left with the added burden of commuting back and forth during this already difficult time.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga offers families a comfortable home-away-from-home during their childs medical treatment. And the best part is, the services are free to families.

Whether its providing support, companionship and a helping hand to families during their stay, serving visitors and guests at the front desk, receiving donations, answering phone calls, assisting with nightly meals , or more, volunteers are essentials to fulfilling the mission of RMHC.
